Tributes from Colleagues
(Bill died on the 10th September 2015)
Ben and I are both sad to hear of Bill's passing.
When I first joined Marconi Bill and I both played table tennis at the Club in New Street.
He gave me a lift there, and on the way home it became an impromptu driving lesson as he insisted I drive his little Austin home for extra driving practice before my test. (Was I insured??)
He had a lovely sense of humour and much enjoyed his ham radio in his garden shed and rides in his son's Microlight in later years. RIP Bill.

Very sad to hear this news.
Bill was my boss for a short while, but working for Bill was more like being given a new friend than a new boss.
He was a gentleman engineer and a thoroughly nice man.
Rest in Peace, Bill.

Very sorry to hear about Bill.
I worked with and for him for some time and he was more like a friend than a boss.
He was always very pragmatic with a great sense of humour, even when suffering under the pressures of project management.
It was always fun both to play golf, work and sometimes to play table tennis with Bill.
