I'm sorry to hear of Mike's demise. Yet another man who spent all his working life at Marconi, he was a conscientious systems engineer in the ATC Systems group.
I had contact with him after he retired to the West coast of Scotland, usually to overcome the vicissitudes of Yahoo but sometimes to talk of the Troon Twinning association with Villeneuve-sur-Lot, a town near to me.

Sorry to hear about Mike as I always found him very helpful and informative and certainly a very good engineer. He was also involved in research on the various HMS Ayr's, apart from the Clyde Paddle Steamer side.
At one time I shared a small space in a corner of Eastwood House with him, before I was moved to Elettra House. It was at this time that I found out that I was vaguely related to him through marriage. My Grandfather's cousin was married to Mike's mother's sister. Scotland was a pretty small place in those days.
