Tom Perkins

Tom Perkins worked at Rivenhall from 1954. In 1969 he moved to TID (Technical Information Department) at Waterhouse Lane — and then to Writtle Road from where he retired. He died on the first day of 2015.

His father, known as “old Tom “ Perkins, also worked at Rivenhall as a groundsman/security. 

(Young) Tom started volunteering at Parham airfield around 1991. He was involved with various wiring projects, also showing visitors the control tower. He was secretary for a number of years.
