Introduction

This list uses the Air Ministry Experimental Station (AMES) nomenclature first promulgated at the start of WW2 but still in use up to the end of the period covered by the History. The content is an extract from the most comprehensive list available, which covers British, US and German types. It is the result of 20 years work by a gentleman called Brian Mulvan, who drew on many sources in the course of his own research. The full version is available on the Radar Pages site.

Hi Alan,
I believe some of the technical/performance parameters for the Marconi Radars are incorrect. Contributers should correct the data where ambiguity is noticed.
